Are you an experienced Travel Consultant looking for a role with variety, exciting clients and travel opportunities?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and passionate travel business where you’ll manage everything from domestic and international travel to group movements, sporting programs, events and VIP experiences.
With a strong salary package, supportive team culture and the opportunity to occasionally travel with groups, this is definitely not your average consulting role!
THE ROLE
Working as part of a lively and close-knit team, you’ll take ownership of travel arrangements from the initial enquiry right through to post-travel follow-up.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage domestic and international travel bookings end-to-end
- Coordinate group travel arrangements for schools, clubs, sporting organisations and other groups
- Book flights, accommodation, transfers and additional travel services
- Manage complex itineraries and ensuring all travel logistics run seamlessly
- Provide a high level of service to VIP clients and special travel groups
- Use your destination and product knowledge to recommend the best travel options
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
- Negotiate and secure the best possible travel solutions
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery
- Providing pre-, during and post-travel support when required
- Occasionally travel domestically and internationally to assist with group programs and VIP experiences
THE MUST HAVES
To be successful in this role, you’ll be an experienced travel professional who loves delivering exceptional service while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous travel consulting experience
- Strong GDS skills, ideally Sabre – candidates with another GDS will be considered for conversion training
- Confidence managing domestic and international itineraries
- Strong sales, upselling and negotiation skills
- Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to juggle multiple bookings, deadlines and priorities
- Excellent destination and travel product knowledge
- A proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach
- A genuine passion for travel and delivering outstanding experiences
