A rare opportunity has become available for a passionate and hands-on Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join a prestigious heritage-listed boutique hotel in the heart of Sydney CBD.

This is far from a cookie-cutter hospitality role. You'll be working within a unique property full of character, leading a close-knit team across the restaurant, bar, and events operations while building genuine relationships with returning guests and creating memorable experiences.

THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Manager, you'll lead a team of approximately 10 staff across restaurant, bar, and function operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives on the floor, enjoys mentoring others, and takes pride in delivering outstanding guest experiences. The role is predominantly Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to support events and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities
-Lead the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, bar, and small functions
-Ensure meeting and function spaces are set up and turned around efficiently
-Drive exceptional guest service and maintain high satisfaction levels
-Coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve their full potential
-Foster a positive and engaging workplace culture
-Develop and implement training initiatives across the F&B team
-Monitor compliance with WHS policies and procedures
-Ensure RSA compliance across all team members
-Liaise with guests and internal departments to promptly resolve issues and maintain service excellence
-Support continuous improvement initiatives across the department

ABOUT YOU
You are an energetic hospitality professional who leads by example and inspires those around you.

You'll bring:
-Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Food & Beverage leadership role
-Demonstrated experience managing and motivating teams
-Excellent communication and presentation skills
-A solutions-focused approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
-Current RSA certification
-Flexibility and a positive "can-do" attitude
-A genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience
