THE ROLE
As the Associate Director of Sales – MICE, you will play a key leadership role in driving revenue growth across the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE) market. You will build strong client relationships, identify new business opportunities and lead a high-performing team to deliver exceptional event experiences.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive new business and maximise sales opportunities across the MICE market and other key segments.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with business objectives.
• Build, maintain and grow long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
• Lead, coach and inspire the sales team to deliver exceptional guest and client experiences.
• Negotiate contracts to maximise revenue and profitability.
• Promote all hotel offerings including accommodation, conferencing, catering, food & beverage, spa and bespoke guest experiences.
• Represent the hotel through networking events, industry associations and community engagement.
• Contribute to sales planning, budgeting and target setting across market segments.
• Conduct competitor analysis and identify opportunities to increase market share.
• Ensure all sales activities support the hotel's luxury brand standards and commercial objectives.
ABOUT YOU
• Previous experience in a similar Sales Leadership role within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
• Proven success driving MICE sales and achieving ambitious revenue targets.
• Strong business development skills with the ability to generate new leads and secure repeat business.
• Outstanding negotiation, presentation and relationship management skills.
• Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset and a results-driven approach.
• Hospitality Management, Events Management or related tertiary qualification preferred.
• Experience using CRM systems, Opera Cloud or similar Property Management Systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Full Australian working rights.
